Our Kindy

The Gladstone Kindergarten is a standalone centre which provides kindy and occasional care for families from Yacka to Wirrabara.

The kindy's curriculum is based on the Early Years Learning Framework which:

• has a strong emphasis on play-based learning
• recognises the importance of communication, language, early literacy and numeracy
• focuses on social and emotional development.

Throughout the year, children are observed by staff and their progress and interactions are reported back to parents. At the end of a child's time in kindy, a collection of photos, drawings and records are given to parents in a portfolio book as a memento of their time at the centre.

Centre staff
