We ask for parents to arrive shortly before 9am, but not too early, as staff require time at the start of the day to plan and prepare activities. If you need to arrive earlier, an extra 15 minutes of care may be able to be provided for your child for a $1 fee. This will need to be arranged with the centre director.
When you arrive at kindy please remind your child to put their bag away, come inside and greet staff so they are aware of your child's arrival. Children will need to place their lunch box on the kitchen bench where it will be moved to the fridge by a staff member. All fruit should remain in the child's bag and the child will be asked to retrieve it at fruit time.
Please check your child's pocket in the kindy each day for newsletters and information from the centre.
For the safety of children it is crucial for centre staff to know who will be collecting your child each day. There may be times when you are not able to pick your child up and require a friend or relative to do so. Please ensure you notify a staff member in advance, otherwise your child will not be allowed to leave the premises. If you require a friend or family member to regularly collect your child, please advise staff.
Children must wear a hat outside at all times throughout the year, as based on the Sun Smart Policy. Children who forget their hats will be limited to play in undercover areas. During summer we ask that parents apply sunscreen to their child in the morning. The centre will not schedule outdoor play activities when it is above 36° Celsius.
What to bring:
Please ensure your child's bag and all items inside are clearly labelled to avoid items getting mixed up or lost.
Water will be available at the centre for children to drink and cups will be provided.
Thongs and crocs are not suitable footwear.
We prefer children not to bring toys from home. The centre offers a wide range of activities and equipment, as well as lots of play mates to provide entertainment and fun.
